After Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem, Sammy Ofer Stadium in Haifa, and Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv–Jaffa, which have received the official UEFA certification – the highest rank allowing the hosting of official international matches in the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League – Ashdod Stadium, with approximately 20,000 seats, is also expected to meet the same UEFA standards and join the list of Europe’s leading stadiums.

Last week, a meeting was held with UEFA representatives, during which the architectural firm Goldschmidt-Arditi-Ben Naim presented the stadium plans to UEFA officials, the Israel Football Association, and the Municipality of Ashdod. Upon completion of construction and official approval, the stadium is expected to become the most advanced in Israel and a venue for hosting matches of the Israeli national team as well as clubs playing in European competitions.

According to Yossi Ben Naim, partner architect at Goldschmidt-Arditi-Ben Naim:
“In Ashdod, we are applying the knowledge and experience we have gained in designing seven stadiums, with a new venue that will attract top-level events and competitions, and will contribute to the development of the city and the region.”
